Hi Sorry to bother once again but is there a way to get the auction or am I just missing a part of the game because all of the challenges just say _ won immunity or reward and that's it and there is no auction in any game I've done?

Hey there. Sorry for the delay. I have really been busy with university work and so I haven't had time to do everything that I wanted to do in the game. I will be working on it soon hopefully with exams coming to a close.

Ok Thank You Sorry to Bother and If You aren't done with your exams good luck.

Hello GilbertGames sorry to bug again but just re downloaded the game and played 5 minutes ago still no auction so I don't if there is something wrong with my game or what but was just gonna let you know again. Sorry to bug

Hi one more thing can you actually compete in challenge because my thing just says _ wins immunity/reward and that is why I can't do the auction but was just wondering if there was more to the challenge then just _ wins immunity/reward

(1 edit)

Hey I have played the game maybe 10 times through now and I have not had the auction happen so I was wondering if this is a bug, a problem, or if it doesn't appear everytime?

It doesn't let me do any or play any challenges it just says _ wins reward or immunity

The auction is part is a bug. Thank you for notifying us.

Oh ok so will I be able to play the auction now?

It looks like it's working now when I try to play!  I do have a couple of tips, especially if you're going to attempt to attach a dollar value to your game:

(1) There are quite a few spelling errors, I'd recommend going through and double-check your spelling.

(2) Consider the impact of some of the choices the player has to make (i.e., the "Player Experience").  We are asked to put a name in three times to play (Name, Surname, Nickname) - is this meaningful or does it just add time to the player that they don't need?  Similarly, you currently have to allocate 75 points at the beginning of the game.  That is 75 times the player has to click to allocate points before they even start the game.  Consider if this is worth the effort - is it really necessary to require the player to do this or could you reduce the numbers and/or alter the way you currently have this set up?  I.e., scale this down to smaller numbers or maybe the player allocates 5 points with one click.

(3) Despite the other user's comments, I am seeing times where the alliances do back stab me.  It might be useful to help explain to the player how their choices impact the game and some things to be wary of so they know why they're getting back stabbed.  You don't need to explain everything that's under the hood, but any tips to the player about how their actions can impact their game will enhance the "experience".

Overall, glad you're still working on this and think you could totally take this to the next level!

Thank you ClickyPencil for the feedback. I truelly value your continued support.

(1) I'll search for the spelling errors and get them sorted out.

(2.1) I do have a mechanic like a "player experience" that is based off the decisions a player and the other survivors makes. The "player experience" plays a large role in the final decisionat the finale of who is to win and become the sole survivor.  As of now though, the "player experience" had no effect on the players abilities but I am working on ways to change that.

(2.2) I will admit, as of now the need for the 3 names is unnecessary, but I included it, because I had plans to keep record of the best players of the game. The high score being the "player experience" accumulated during the players run in the game. I still plan on creating a leader board for this so that everyone who has ever played will be able to see where they are on the board.

In addition. I had another player mention to me that they tried to speed run the game so I would like to create a leader board for times too

(2.3) I'll work on the point allocation mechanic. I too realised that it was getting annoying to repeatedly click the button to allocate my points

(3.1) The comments were true about alliances not back stabbing but I worked on it and now, as you've seen, they do.

(3.2) I have been working on giving more feedback to the player about moments in the game and explain what happend. I have though been struggling with this because I want to find a balance between giving feedback and mystery.

I want to keep some mystery so that the player can't go and learn all the mechanics and the proceed to beat the game everytime because they know exactly what to do and what not to do.

(4)  Mostly I have been adding a save feature so that the user doesn't have to start from scratch every time and can come back to an unfinished run.

I thank you again ClickyPencil.

Stoked to see this game!  This game is literally the reason I joined itch a year ago, because I was looking for a Survivor/BB simulator and started learning coding specifically so I could learn to make a game like this!  So I'm super stoked to see someone else has created something simular!  ... The game doesn't work for mac, unfortunately.  And has been buggy for me on my windows (I have a 2nd one I'll try later), but I can't seem to get past "Day 3"?  ... I'll try on my other windows and see if I can provide anymore feedback!  Am totally down to offer as much feedback as you desire because I love this project :)

Thank you for feedback, I really appreciate it. I'll work on the bugs and finding more bugs.

Hey! Love the game, a few things:

-Alliances are too easy to make, no one ever flips

-Auction is glitchy if you accidentally press bid when you can't afford it

Thank you Wechsler, I really appreciate it. I'll work on the alliances and fix the glitch in the auction.

Amazing man! I would recommend adding a GUI but obviously that's not forever and it's still playable without the GUI. Anyway, I'm really really enjoying myself right now and excited to see how this develops because you could make some people really happy! I did some digging after buying this and there's nothing else around like it.

Well done.

I'm currently working on the GUI. It may takes some time because I have to balance the time I spend on this game with the school work.

I also intend on making the challenges alot more interactive like the auction, rather than the user pressing a button then the result being calculated in the background.

I really appreciate your comments Wechsler and I'm happy you enjoy the game
